Fiona Couillard, Graduate Student, TA Art 465

Fiona is a native Calgarian who holds a BFA with distinction from Alberta University of the Arts.  Her practice explores abstraction in a continuing dialog between conceptualization and the formal aspects of paint and materials. She has received awards and scholarships for merit, academics and community involvement.  Her work has been featured in the Marion Nicoll Gallery, Calgary, the Hear/d Exhibition AuArts, Calgary, and most recently in the Structures of Anticipation Exhibition at SB contemporary in Windsor, Ontario. If not in her studio, you will most likely find Fiona in either the metal shop or the print shop. She is expected to quickly learn the popular Art Building phrase, "Where's Rick?"
